A Day at the Boston Museum of Science and Butterfly Garden

We had a wonderful day adventure at the Boston Museum of Science this past April Vacation week. We arrived around 10 and left at 7:30 and barely scratched the surface of the exhibits.

Some highlights from the Museum included:
A Live Frog Exhibit, The Butterfly Garden, An Optical Illusion exhibit, Sky Hero's constellation presentation at the Planetarium, The Amazon Movie at the Omni Theater, A Live Lightning Presentation (this made the biggest impression on my 7 year old!), Dinosaur & Fossil exhibit, Natural History Exhibit, Computers, Mathematics, and on and on!!!

Leyden

I just dropped off this is the Leyden Scene photo which I donated to my son's school calendar raffle. Donating photography work is so much easier and economical than a painting or even a print. I am thinking about doing a Leyden Scene Calendar at some point. We really do live in Gods country!
On that note I am off to enjoy today's awesome weather....a walk by the Green River.

Dorothea Fleiss Studio Visit

This is my new mock up .......I think I will call it God's Eyes

I have been working diligently the past 2 days getting my ideas transferred onto painting surfaces and getting the studio ready for a visit with Dorthea Fleiss who is artist in residence this April at Hampden Gallery. I am looking forward to meeting her and showing her my work.

Fleiss teaches creative studies at the University-level in Stuttgart, Germany, is an abstract painter, and the founder/director of East/West artists Symposium – an artist residency program based in Eastern Europe which has provided workspace, exhibition opportunities, and networking for over 600 international artists in its ten year history. Fleiss is available for critiques, talks, and workshops during her stay and has an installation now showing at Hampden Gallery (Wednesday, April 1 - Saturday, April 11)

Rose Window : Eye-dea Refinement

I've been working hard in the studio and in my head :-)
My ideas are refining. I've collected my supplies, and am getting my surfaces ready for painting.
I am really happy with the composition of this rose window and will be transferring it onto a surface for painting in the next few days. I hope to finish this piece for the show at Hampden Galley in May and then get it up to Gallery in the Woods.......I am due for some new work there.

Spring has entered me and I am blooming with all sorts of ideas. I am feeling really excited by them. My new work has arrived!

Daily Quote by Esther & Jerry Hicks
Just love everybody that interacts with you no matter how personally, or how peripherally, involved with you they are. The efficiency of the people who deal with you... everything is orchestrated by the manager called Law of Attraction. And your vibration is setting all of it into motion. Everything affecting you is a reflection of the vibration that you are emitting. Spend more time focused upon your dream than upon the reality. The reality gives birth to the dream -- but the dream is where you are wanting to put your attention
Alicia Hunsicker's art is undeniably beautiful. She is an expert at extracting the highly-detailed textures and fibers of the human body, bringing them from darkness, into the light, with a technical precision that rivals any modern-day master.
