First I must say Thank You for all the support I received for this project. I appreciate everyone who bought tickets or made a donation. Without your support it would have been difficult to participate in this wonderful opportunity.
So its official.....I am going to China!
The tickets are purchased, the Visas should arrive any day now......and the artwork is about half finished in the studio.... 12 days untill take off.
Last night we held the drawing for the artwork I raffled off to raise funding for the trip.
This is a picture of my son Ben pulling out the winning tickets....
The Summer Sky Pastel went to Ann Lane of Uxbridge, MA. and the Precious Jewel Nest series of oil paintings went to Jim Doubleday of Pelham, MA. Congratulations to both of you!!!
and again.......A heart felt Thank You to all who participated.

In the Studio : Eye to Eye Project
In the studio I have been working on the Eye to Eye project components. We are painting on mailing tags that will be tied together in a long rope fashion. Each tag has an eye from Western Art on one side and an eye from Eastern Art on the other. I am painting mine in acrylic using brushes. This eye is sourced from a Van Gogh self-portrait. We have a new Eye to Eye project blog that will show other eye images by me and the other participating artists. You can check it out at: http://www.eyetoeye-intrudes.blogspot.com/

Alicia Hunsicker's art is undeniably beautiful. She is an expert at extracting the highly-detailed textures and fibers of the human body, bringing them from darkness, into the light, with a technical precision that rivals any modern-day master.
