Snow Storm Outside My Studio

The power has returned after 2 days & nights...... but the beautiful Birch stand that I look out upon from my studio window will never be the same.
I hope that they recover enough so that we don't have to cut them down.

Onward to Storm # 2!

a lovely almost melancholy photo of your Birch friend...hopefully she will spring back after the weight is lifted.

Your painted imagery is magical...I adore the way that you combine elements.

Hi Iona, Thanks so much for your positive comments and support!...
We had another foot and 1/2 of heavy wet snow again last night....and the birches awoke to the ground again....my fingers are crossed that they will fully recover. xo~Alicia

I have a friend who emailed to say that she will be creating a mixed media piece for a museum auction that will feature symbols that have personal significance to her: a bird's nest with an egg in a spoon.

I wanted to share your work with her then felt it best to let her be uninfluenced so her piece is pure as can be...but there your images were again...playing into the day...I love when that happens ...and it's rare.

Alicia Hunsicker's art is undeniably beautiful. She is an expert at extracting the highly-detailed textures and fibers of the human body, bringing them from darkness, into the light, with a technical precision that rivals any modern-day master.
