Xerox Transfer Workshops


What I teach is the process I have developed for my own work 
which has taken years of trial and error to perfect.  
I am very passionate about this technique 
and I don't hold any secrets back! 


Xerox transfer workshop: 
 
This workshop is approx 3 hours and will take place at my home studio in Leyden, MA.  I provide a snack and the transfer materials,
participants bring their own Xerox copies to play with.


Private one on one instruction:   $150.
semi-private (2) :  $125.  each
Xerox Transfer small group (3 to 5) :  $99. each

Consultations: $50. per hour

Details: This workshop is geared toward participants ages 16 and up. It is perfect for artists and crafts people.


Participants will need to bring several black and white xerox images made on an office copy machine. (not a printer) Specifically, at least one 8"x 10" and one 4"x4"copy.


All other materials are provided. Additionally, you will be given a number of prepared surfaces to experiment on, this includes one sheet of  9”x12” prepared heavy weight paper and one 4”x 4” canvas to work on.  

Description:
I will teach workshop participants about a variety of xerox transfer processes and the different ways that they can be applied in creating paintings or other kinds of art. I will demonstrate the process I use in creating my artwork. Participants will then be walked through the process as they create their own. Participants will leave with a working knowledge of the process and its possibilities, at least one xerox transfer work of art on heavy archival paper & one on canvas, a materials list, and written directions for future projects.

This workshop will last approximately 3 hours.

Topics covered include:

·   How to use digital technology to create an image

·   Materials and multiple usage explanation

·   How to apply a xerox onto a variety of surfaces including Large transfers

·   Problem solving techniques

·   How to seal the image and layer for use as a painting

·   Painting techniques in acrylic and oil for use with the xerox transfer method.
