James Heflin writes about Nexus in Preview Magazine Massachusetts

In the artwork of Alicia Hunsicker, the imagery of science is transformed into something vibrant and lively.  Cool-hued spheres trace playful patterns and tendrils swirl in scenes that could be underwater life, astronomical time-lapse, or subatomic restlessness. Hunsicker says her works in the show Nexus address the intersection of science and spirituality. Her paintings are part of Gallery In the Woods’ summer offerings, which also include collage-centered works by Klaus Postler. Through Sept.  —James Heflin

Alicia Hunsicker's art is undeniably beautiful. She is an expert at extracting the highly-detailed textures and fibers of the human body, bringing them from darkness, into the light, with a technical precision that rivals any modern-day master.
